Run around Ireland
During March and April we have been taking part in the 'Run Around IRELAND' challenge. We've really enjoyed counting the kilometres and learning about Ireland's famous landmarks along the way. 2 laps of the yard is the equivalent of 1 km for JI -2nd while 3rd to 6th must run 4 laps to equal 1km. The more kms each class runs the more of landmarks they will reach.
Thank you to the active flag committee in 5th class who worked out the distances from Scoil an Linbh Íosa to the various landmarks. (see sheet below).
